Product Overview

Stratford Ceiling Tiles are cost-effective, easy-to-use, and by far our best-selling style. Made from our Feather-Light Series 0.013 in. thick vinyl plastic, they are unlike any ceiling tile you will ever see or feel. You may be surprised by their minimal weight, but their thermoformed design combined with the inherent strength of vinyl makes these tiles rigid, durable, and easy to install and maintain.

All of our Feather-Light Series tiles are Class A fire rated, 100% recyclable, completely waterproof, Greenguard Gold Certified for indoor air quality, and made in the USA. For the look of wood millwork, with the flexibility, durability, and versatility of vinyl - look no further!

Product Pricing

Our prices are based on the total number of items (both tiles and accessories) in your shopping cart. The more items in your cart, the cheaper the price.

The easiest way to figure out item pricing is to either (a) put everything in your cart and we'll break it down for you, or (b) adjust the quantity of items on the product page above and watch the price change automagically. Alternatively, check out the table below to see all of our price breaks and prices for this product all at once (the yellow highlights the correct pricing, based on the quantity of items you have entered above and what is already in your shopping cart).

We installed these in our club, but are getting alot of complaints about the echoing . How can we reduce that. We left our old ceiling tiles in and put these under them

Asked by: Tommy
Stratford Ceiling Tiles have an NRC of .25. Because they are relatively thin, they allow sound to pass through them instead of reflecting the noise. Once sound passes through them, it should be absorbed by whatever material is behind them. If you've left your old ceiling in place, then there should be very little difference in sound within the space. Please give Ceilume a call at 800-557-0654 to discuss what other changes you may have made that are effecting the sound within the space.

can I imply tape to the back of the ceiling piece?

Asked by: tyrese
Ceilume's Stratford ceiling tiles are made to be installed in a standard 1" or 15/16" ceiling grid. They can't be taped or glued directly to a ceiling. While Ceilume does make a variety of tiles that can be glued to a ceiling (https://www.ceilume.com/products/glue-up/2x2/white-ceiling-tiles/ ) we don't recommend installing any tiles with tape.

Could these be used as a kitchen backsplash? Behind a stove.

Asked by: Laura A
Ceilume's Stratford Ceiling Tile can only be installed in a 1" or 15/16" suspended ceiling grid. They can not be directly adhered to a ceiling or wall. We do have 3 styles of glue-up wall and ceiling tiles: https://www.ceilume.com/products/wall-and/white-ceiling-tiles/ These tiles are only suitable for use behind a stove or cook top if there is a control panel at the back of the stove to protect the tiles from the direct heat of the burners. Please call Ceilume at 800-557-0654 with any questions. We're here Monday - Friday from 6:30 am - 4:30 pm PST.

Is it still possible to get a box of 10 or 15 tiles?

Asked by: Christine
Because Ceilume offers 42 different ceiling tile styles in up to 16 different colors and finishes, we don't keep any tiles in stock. Each order is custom made once the order is received and there is a minimum order size of 25 tiles. Please give Ceilume a call at 800-557-0654 to discuss options for purchasing fewer than 25 tiles.

I'm installing on slats over joists, 2x2 spacing, are the edges square or have a profile ( curve) ?

Asked by: Stevo
Ceilume's Stratford ceiling tiles have square edges but chamfered corners which protect the tile during transit. The corner details are not visible when the tile is installed in the grid. As you can see from the image below, the Stratford tile sits flush in a ceiling grid; the tile doesn't project down below the face of the grid which means they can be cut for those areas at the perimeter of your room that might be less than a full tile. Please give us a call at 800-557-0654 with any questions.

Are these acoustic tiles?

Asked by: MikeM
Ceilume's Stratford ceiling tile, and all of the other Feather-Light ceiling tiles, have an NRC of .25 Adding the Soniguard Drop Ceiling Insulation to the Stratford brings the NRC up to .50 and if you really need to reduce the in-room noise, the Stratford NRC 85+ provides an NRC of .85 Give us a call at 800-557-0654 if you have any other questions or would like to discuss controlling noise in your installation.

Do the Stratford 2x2 tiles have a tegular edge?  Thank you.

Asked by: Kelley
The Stratford tile sits flush in the ceiling grid and does not project down below the plane of the grid. This makes it easy to cut and install the tiles in those areas at the perimeter of your room that are most likely less than a full tile.
