Soniguard™ Drop Ceiling Insulation is dust, fiberglass, and itch free. Pre-cut for easy installation, it will dramatically increase both the acoustical properties of your Ceilume ceiling, and the thermal properties of any drop ceiling.

SEE the difference.
Open the box and your new, snow-white, thermal bonded polyester insulation rises to greet you. NO FIBERGLASS, no dust, no particles, no mess - Soniguard is the cleanest insulation you will ever use, and it's already perfectly pre-cut to rest above your drop ceiling panels.

FEEL the difference.
Have you ever handled insulation? Soniguard will banish those bad memories. Hold your new insulation up to your cheek, rub it on your bare skin; with Soniguard there is no itching and no scratching... nothing but the velvety feel of the best insulation product ever. Not only that, once it's installed, Soniguard's 6.0 R-value will help any room feel warmer in the winter and cool in the summer - and that will feel good to you AND to your pocketbook!

HEAR the difference
Placing Soniguard above your Ceilume Ceiling Tiles will dramatically improve their acoustical performance, reducing both in-room noise and sound passing through your ceiling.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I got Ceilume drop-ceiling insulation, and it's *awesome!*. I liked it so much I got a second order for another room. I got it for sound insulation, and while I'm happy that I was cautioned it wouldn't give much sound suppression from neighboring offices (to keep my expectations modest), it's at least a 50% reduction in sound... probably closer to 60-70%. It's particularly good with higher frequencies, which tend to penetrate walls more. I can no longer make out the content of words in my neighbors' conversations; it's just a muffled sound of voices. I've told my landlord about it, and they may use it for other offices with noise problems. It proved to be a very cost-effective, and so far effective, solution. Five out of five!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I just wanted to tell you how very pleased I am with the soniguard insulation. You were very cautious in advising me, but I find that my unscientific assessment is about a 50% reduction in noise from adjacent rooms, despite this being insulation installed over the ceiling! I'm beginning to wonder how this compares to pink fiberglass in terms of heat insulation and cost... Any idea? Anyway, thanks again--it's rare that you're much more pleased than you thought you'd be when you bought a product. Very cost-effective versus competition, too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We installed the Ceilume ceiling in a reception room at our church. We have gotten so many compliments on the look of the ceiling and folks are so happy with the reduced sound with the soniguard, that we will be purchasing more of the Stratford latte tiles in the near future. The reception room still needs to be furnished, but when it is, will take photos and forward them. Several folks have asked for your website, and I have told them how very easy installation is- am a 62 yr old handy-lady and did the install on existing grid myself, in a day. Keep up the good work!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A one product. After purchasing Ceilume tiles along with the insulation panel we had a relatively easy installation! There were a few learning curves such as how to install can lights and speakers. But found ways to incorporate this modification. Trimming an cutting tiles was easily accomplished with a very fine finished look. Thanks.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to work with I installed this when I replaced an older acoustic drop ceiling in a basement. The old tiles were stained and sagging. I hope that this product will suppress the sound between floors. Its very easy to work with and cut. At $1.79 sq/ft its not inexpensive

Can the insulation be trimmed to fit? The "squares around the edge of my room aren't exactly square. Is it hard to install if a Ceilume ceiling is already installed?

Asked by: Lynn
The Soniguard material can be cut using a SHARP pair of household scissors but is tedious work. The fibers that provide all of that great insulation are pretty tough! If the perimeter tiles are 1' wide or less, cutting the Soniguard makes good sense. But if the perimeter tiles are more than 1' wide, we usually just overlap the Soniguard at the perimeter.

These go on top of the old ceiling tiles? Making three (3) layers? For example: Ceilume decorative tile, then the original tiles, and finally topped off with these insulated tiles? Or can these be used directly on top of Ceilume ceiling tiles?

Asked by: Kewlzter
Ceilume's Soniguard Drop Ceiling Insulation can be installed directly on top of Ceilume ceiling tiles.

can I glue these panels to a drywall ceiling to increase insulation? after they are up, either spray texture on them, or put some type of panel on if they need a finish. thanks

Asked by: robert
The Soniguard Ceiling Tile Insulation is only meant to be installed on top of Ceilume Ceiling Tiles. It can not be directly adhered to a drywall ceiling. Consult a local building material supply store for an insulation that can be directly applied to drywall.
