All of Ceilume's ceiling tiles are made from a rigid vinyl that is impervious to moisture so humidity will not be an issue. There is a concern about freeze/thaw cycles and wind load. Ceilume's ceiling tiles are inteneded for installation in a temperature regulated space and we've done no testing for exterior installations. We would not recommend using any of our ceiling tiles in an exterior installation in your area.

The Stratford can only be installed in a 1" or 15/16" suspended ceiling grid; there is no way to make the Stratford compatible with a 9/16" suspended ceiling grid. Ceilume does make the Oxford tile which is made from our thicker .030" Signature vinyl material and can be installed in a 9/16" suspended ceiling grid. Ceilume's Stratford ceiling tile is our best selling tile in part because it can be installed as a border tile. Cutting the Stratford is easy; just use a good pair of scissors or a pair of straight bladed snips. As for seeing the Stratford before you place an order, we can save you a trip. The Stratford (and all of Ceilume's Feather-Light ceiling tiles) can only be installed in a standard 1" or 15/16" suspended ceiling grid. They can not be glued directly to a ceiling. The International Building Code requires that all lights, HVAC grilles, speakers, etc must be supported by the ceiling grid or the structure above. No ceiling tile should be used to support any of those items.
