Most ceilings are not perfectly sized to fit a layout of full sized tiles. In grid installations there will most likely be partial grid squares along the border of the ceiling, and in direct mount installations a border between the center, full sized tiles and the walls. This is what is known as edge trim.

Many of our styles have features that are too recessed and/or projected to be cut for use as edge trim. We do have several designs in both direct and grid mount styles that are perfect for edge trim, however, and these styles can be used throughout an installation for a completely uniform design, or as an elegant border to a complementary projected, recessed or hybrid style.
