ASTM International Class A Fire Rated for surface burning characteristics, flame spread and smoke developement according to ASTM E84-06: Standard Test Method for Surface Burning Characteristics of Building Materials. |
In addition to the Class A Fire Rating, Feather-Light Ceilume Ceiling Tiles are also rated, listed and approved by the following agencies for use underneath fire suppression systems, and are engineered to drop out of a drop ceiling in the event of a fire. No clips, fastners or impediments of any kind can be used to limit the ceiling tiles' ability to drop from the suspension system without restraint in the event of a fire. They may be used for installation under fire suppression sprinkler systems with an activation temperature of 165°F, in a manner acceptable, and subject to the authorities having jurisdiction. ALWAYS review your installation with the local authorities before you proceed.
