I have finished my build and the results turned out quite nicely. The tiles have met our expectations and they offer significant aesthetic improvement vs a traditional "classroom" tile. The pictures of the black Stratford tiles in the theater are installed flush to the ceiling joists with black Ceilinglink grids. The white Stratford tiles in the playroom are installed in regular metal "drop" grids.

We just happen to finish up our project a week ago so your email is timely and I just wanted to say you have great product, it made it so easy to upgrade the look of our theater room project without having to go through too much expense. I was able to reuse our old drop ceiling tiles behind each of your panels to provide additional sound deadening. As you will see on our pictures we painted the ceiling tiles to match the wall color and it was very easy to do with a paint sprayer. I have painted regular ceiling tiles before and it is lots of work.

I would definitely recommend your product to others and I would use them again if I have a similar project in the future.

Here's some photos of our completed theater room. Everyone who has seen it comments on the ceiling tiles. Nobody has ever seen anything like them and they all love the look. It really finishes it off nicely. We used the dart tiles in the center and the southland tiles around the outside edges. We also used the acoustotherm backpanels which really help with the sound suppression.

You guys were great counsel on this project and I would encourage any customers to simply pick up the phone and talk about your project, I changed several approaches to this based on your advice - THANKS. I am very happy with this product and the customer service.

We're finished with our home theater and truly enjoying it. Everyone that comes to check it out loves it and thinks that the ceiling really ties it all together. Most people believe that the ceiling is made of wood.

I just finished my installation of your Ceilume Ceiling Tiles in my media room and the results are stunning! I was originally looking for an alternative to conventional ceiling tiles in terms of design and cost. I was looking at tin ceilings, but was put off by the cost. I am always a bit skeptical when dealing with new products, but I ordered your free samples and read as much as I could online about the Ceilume products. The price advantage is what really hooked me, so I decided to try Ceilume and ordered 100 tiles.

The installation couldn't have been easier. I have dealt with standard ceiling tiles before and remember the dust involved when cutting holes or trimming them to size. With the Ceilume tiles there was no dust and I was able to cut 2 or 3 at a time with a pair of scissors! This was a big time saver.

Once my tiles were in place, I sprayed the entire ceiling the same color as my walls. This made the ceiling grid blend in completely with the tiles so they are almost invisible.

I was originally worried that the tiles might move when a door was opened or closed, but it has never happened. After the ceiling was complete I trimmed the room with crown molding, which appears to support the ceiling at the wall. Everyone who has seen the finished room comments about the ceiling. For many reasons that include price, ease of installation, lack of dust, and design options, I am very pleased with my decision to go with Ceilume ceiling tiles.

I have attached a picture of my finished theater with the Ceilume Dart Tiles. If you would like more photos please let me know. I have not had a single person walk into my HT that has not asked about the tiles :-) I think it came out great, it just took a bit of patience to figure out how to use them out on the border to make the room work for me. The Darts where used edge to edge.

Yes, that is a glitter treatment on the walls. It sparkles like stars as you move around the room. And strangely, the dimmer the room the more they sparkle. Thanks for the help in getting this project looking good!

The grid is inlaid with ivy pattern, and framed with an ivy trim molding stained merlot.  The crown moldings are gold embossed petals on ebony stain to tie the lighting elements and your panels and the custom merlot stained aspen cabinetry together.  The corner blocks are 5-point stars in ebony stain. For scale: the screen is 77" x 101" (4:3,127" diagonal) room dimensions are 13x22, with an elevated back row for 10'.

We painted it (Ralph Lauren Polo paint) metallic brown with a sprayer and then used stiff scrub brushes to bring out the metallic colors (we just hand brushed the paint after we sprayed) the ceiling is awesome. We wanted the look of a old tin ceiling in our home theater but it turned out to look a lot like an old plaster or hand carved wood ceiling. We always ask visitors what they think the ceiling is and usually they think it is wood. LOL... Like we could afford that. One other thing, we sprayed the tiles while on the ground and sprayed the grid at the same time. I'm telling you, your product is awesome. We needed a drop ceiling because of the home theater basement application but so didn't want the look of a drop ceiling.

This was and is an old basement but certainly your product has dressed it up considerably. 

Believe it or not, we spray painted all the tiles with cans of paint since we could not find a color we liked in large quantity.  We used the Rustoleum hammered copper and we really do like it.  The name of the color is on the back of the can in very small print.  It had the shine we thought we needed.  Actually, we did try several other colors before deciding on this particular one.  

This room has worn many hats through the years but has always been a home theater room... long before home theaters evolved.  At the same time it has been an exercise room, wine storage, foos ball and pinball with darts.  The children grew up and now it's just wine and movies.  Everyone who sees it, has liked it and has planned a use for it.  Unfortunately, not everyone takes the time to paint and install so those same guys installing those ugly white perforated ceilings should be talking these up to their customers.

I must tell you at first I was quite skeptical about the product. Something about the weight and material was not appealing at first and I thought to myself "what did I get myself into"? However after installing the product in three areas of the basement, I can say that the product is the first area that people comment when they come into the room. They think the material is either carved wood or metal and expect the costs to be significantly higher than the standard store bought flat tiles. They are shocked by both the true costs and the actual materials and when they understand the ease of installation, the product sells itself. The home theater is a pleasure to sit in with the lights dimmed low and the tile provide a surprising amount of sound absorption. Great product and even better customer service!
