Continental Cherry Wood Ceiling Tiles have a starburst design and can be cut and used as ceiling borders. This faux wood finish conjures images of deep mahogany.

Please Note: When using this style in suspended ceiling installations, some minor sagging may occur when used in full-size grid squares. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns about this style.

How thick are the tiles? What is the weight of each? Are they cut to fit and peel and stick?

Asked by: Doug
The Continental ceiling tiles are .030" thick and weigh about .8 lbs each. The tiles do not have an adhesive backing so you'll need to purchase an adhesive that works well with vinyl material. We do sell Ceilume Ceiling Tile Adhesive; you can find it on this page http://www.ceilume.com/accessories/CeilingTileAdhesiveCase/ You'll also need the Decorative Strips to cover the joints where the tiles butt together. These strips do have a self-adhesive backing and you'll need 1 bundle of strips for every 10 ceiling tiles you're planning to install. You can find the strips here: http://www.ceilume.com/accessories/DecorativeStrips/White/

what is the difference between glue up & drop tiles 2x2 I'm thinking of using tile on the front of a small bar in my basement it has wood stained paneling on it now

Asked by: Joe Gaydos
Almost all of our tiles are suitable for installation in a ceiling grid. Some of our tiles are also suitable for a glue-up installation because they have a flat back that allows them to be installed using adhesive. The Continental tile has a low-relief pattern that makes it a durable choice for installation on a vertical surface. Please be aware that the Faux Copper finish is actually a very thin laminate that can be damaged by cleaning with an abrasive material or cleanser or by excessive contact with knees or feet in the case of a bar front.
