The owner and architect were very happy with the end product. We installed them in a APC Hot Aisle Containment Pod (IT equipment rack and air conditioning unit). The stock ceiling assembly required us to drop a fire sprinkler head into the pod (which the owner wanted to avoid if at all possible ~8M in IT equipment). By using the Ceilume tile we were able to utilize the APC framing and simply added a piece of T-bar down the middle. Our fire code consultants reviewed the Ceilume tiles with the City of Napa Fire Marshall and achieved approval for their use in our installation.

We remodeled the Adler Building, which was built in 1893 in Historic Downtown Guthrie, OK. Guthrie was the first capital of Oklahoma and is on the National Historic Trust registry as the largest contiguously restored Victorian city in the United States. The building had gone through many remodels, but none of them had restored it historically. Air conditioning had been added and a drop ceiling had been installed. The Ceilume Ceiling Tiles were just the answer to restore the historic look with minor modifications. Everyone that walks in the building comments on the wonderful "tin" ceiling. See the pictures of my kitchen that I used your tiles in. What a transformation!!! The product was very very easy to use and very easy to cut and install. I just traced out the old tiles onto the new and took my scissors and cut to fit. The whole kitchen took me about 2 hours. I had looked into doing a tin ceiling but the cost was about 4 times as much as these tiles. That's not really cost effective for a single home owner. My realtor is a good friend of mine and thinks changing out the tiles was a great idea and a beautiful option. All my neighbors have drop ceilings as well and I'm sure will be ordering some for their houses. I have an office that I'm remodeling and need to keep the drop ceiling so I'll be placing another order shortly. The installation went great! It was actually ridiculously easy! We have a tiny boutique, just 225 sq feet. The building is from the 70's so we hated the old horrible panels and loved the "mod" look of the Ceilume tiles and also that it made the ceilings look higher. It's made such a huge difference plus I love that it's environmentally friendly and recyclable. The only thing we wish your company had was just plain white simple edge trim tiles with no design. We had to use something else for the edges since none of the samples looked quite right with their designs being cut etc. I've attached photos of the store before the stock was moved in. We've had so many compliments on our ceiling tiles and we love them!!

I am very pleased with the Ceilume tiles. Your tiles replaced an existing 2x4 system that had become warped due to humidity over the years. The replaced tiles were a composite and were the type generally available in large home improvement stores. Ceilume tiles were first noticed on a Food Network show and your company came up in an Internet search. Your website was comprehensive and provided all the information necessary to make a decision. Your offer for the sample tiles made it very easy to make a decision regarding style. When the original ceiling was installed, a perimeter was constructed to account for irregularities in the dimensions of the room. (12' 9" wide) The room also has a bay window. This presented a problem. The old tiles were used as a template to cut the Ceilume tiles to fit these irregular spaces in the grid at the bay window. It took a lot of planning, time and it was tedious. The design I chose was not the easiest to work with. The tiles you offer for these irregular spaces would have made the room look unbalanced. However, the results were worth the effort. The installation of the tiles was unbelievably easy. The old composite tiles chipped and flaked during the initial installation and when they were removed. I took the opportunity to try latex paint on the samples. Again, the results amazed me. It was interesting to note that you now offer colors. Some of the tiles were damaged in transit and your customer service department was very accommodating. I would suggest that someone consider using bubble wrap or Styrofoam to protected the corners of the tile.

The panels were easy to cut... it was a snap to cut the round holes in order to install the lights. I also painted the support rails to match and blend in (I did this before installing them). I have just raved to everyone about these fantastic tiles and the cost was the same price as using the boring fiberglass tiles they sell at Home Depot or Lowes. I wish our ceiling had more clearance, I would have loved to try some of the deeper inset styles.

We recently began renovating our basement. The basement was quite dark with wood paneling, recessed lighting, and mineral fiber ceiling tiles. The mineral fiber tiles had been there for a long time and were put there by the previous homeowner. The old tiles were stained, crumbling, and very dusty. This was and is an old basement but certainly your product has dressed it up considerably. Believe it or not, we spray painted all the tiles with cans of paint since we could not find a color we liked in large quantity. We used the Rustoleum hammered copper and we really do like it. The name of the color is on the back of the can in very small print. It had the shine we thought we needed. Actually, we did try several other colors before deciding on this particular one. This room has worn many hats through the years but has always been a home theater room... long before home theaters evolved. At the same time it has been an exercise room, wine storage, foos ball and pinball with darts. The children grew up and now it's just wine and movies. Everyone who sees it, has liked it and has planned a use for it. Unfortunately, not everyone takes the time to paint and install so those same guys installing those ugly white perforated ceilings should be talking these up to their customers. Your help was invaluable. We so appreciate you. We think you have a wonderful product and hope the best for you. Thanks again for all your help.
