Here's some pictures from a couple installs.  I installed the tiles using ceiling-link.  They came out great and appear to be real wood once in place.  I also used the tiles on the underneath of the my soffits, using casing for the face trim.

 The ceiling is already generating a steady stream of compliments from all who have seen it. It is hard to get a photo that captures the effect created by the long barrel vault “tin” ceiling with its ceiling fans towards each end and the chandelier in the center.  I recommend your product without reservation. My brother is a restaurant designer for a major national chain and based on what he saw in our store, they are looking into using your product instead of the tin they have been using.

Appreciate the followup and I'm pleased to report that the installation of the Better Than Tin ceilings was very straightforward and the end product looks GREAT!!! At first look, the new Better Than Tin ceiling is almost too nice to be in a bedroom, it looks that good. A great product, easy to install (we did all the work ourselves), and we like how it compliments the other Victorian features around the house.    Definitely worth the price.  Again, the before and after is like night and day - - - and it now sets that area in the hallway off as a "room" of its own. The "nail-up" installation was just as straightforward as the drop ceiling, no problems at all. Ordering and delivery were flawless, great job. Needless to say we are very pleased with the Better Than Tin ceilings. They've helped take our "new Victorian" up another notch - - - and we are now considering them for a couple additional rooms. 

Tiles worked beautifully and transformed a dismal, ordinary room. We chose to create a coffered ceiling that is really amazing. Following up with another email to tell you how pleased I am with the way the ceilume tiles worked for me.  The tiles truly appear to be as if they were cast plaster (the effect I had hoped for) and they serve to lighten up a dark room nicely.  The coffering was a challenge with each area needing to be adapted to the vagaries of a ceiling created in the 19th century, but it was certainly worth all the measuring, leveling, and finagling we needed to do. I'll be delighted to send photographs when I have returned home.

We are incredibly pleased with our recent order.  We get a ton of compliments from our guests. 

The installation of the ceiling went well. Utilized a total of 238 tiles, took about a 30 hr. total work effort between my wife and I to complete. Overall very satisfied and the ceiling looks great.

Everyone was really impressed with ceiling.  We ended up doing some precision soffit framing to avoid cutting the tiles.

I want to say that we have been in business for 40 years, with our restaurant  and we received more compliments on our new ceiling than any other upgrade we ever did. It looks wonderful  and it was a piece of cake to install. Don't be surprised to get few orders from our area because I had lots of people asking me where we got that ceiling? I am currently finishing the painting process of the tiles with a Rustoleum hammered copper finish.  The bad part of this is the color only comes in spray cans.  I could have bought the quart version of paint but would have had to thin in for a sprayer and that would have changed the hammered effect of the paint.
 
The tiles themselves look pretty good.  I can send you a photo of a before and after painted tile.  I hope to have a grid up in about two weeks and will be able to send you some shots from that part as well before after.
 
I will try to get a before and after shot of a tile or two in a day or so.

Everyone is very pleased with the ceiling tiles.  The person who installed it said that it was easy to work with and it only took him a couple of evenings to complete the ceiling.

We remodeled the Adler Building, which was built in 1893 in Historic Downtown
Guthrie, OK. Guthrie was the first capital of Oklahoma and is on the National Historic Trust registry as the largest contiguously restored Victorian city in the United States. The building had gone through many remodels, but none of them had restored it historically. Air conditioning had been added and a drop ceiling had been installed.  The Ceilume Ceiling Tiles were just the answer to restore the historic look with minor modifications. Everyone that walks in the building comments on the wonderful "tin" ceiling.
We have inspired more of the historic building owners to consider installing the Ceilume tiles.

What a transformation!!! The product was very very easy to use and very easy to cut and install. I just traced out the old tiles onto the new and took my scissors and cut to fit. The whole kitchen took me about 2 hours. I had looked into doing a tin ceiling but the cost was about 4 times as much as these tiles. That's not really cost effective for a single home owner. My realtor is a good friend of mine and thinks changing out the tiles was a great idea and a beautiful option. All my neighbors have drop ceilings as well and I'm sure will be ordering some for their houses. I have an office that I'm remodeling and need to keep the drop ceiling so I'll be placing another order shortly. Thanks again for helping me with the kitchen and giving me an option other than having the expense of dry walling my ceiling for $4000. Thanks again!

I absolutely love them!  Clients have been so impressed with the change, two of them have purchased Ceilume tiles for their own projects.

Our installation went beautifully and we've received a lot of comments on the ceiling. We did an "antique" effect on the tiles and they go perfectly with the original 1872 building architecture.

We went with the Ceiling Link grid system.  I know this is not your product, but I thought I'd just share that next time I would go with one that locks together.  If I accidentally pushed too hard on the tile I was putting in, the whole row would shift, and I'd have to go back to the beginning and reset them all.  Not a huge problem, but annoying when it did happen.

As far as your product....

The tiles were sooo easy to paint. I loved them.  I ended up not antiquing the Stratford ones like I had planned to do because the antiqued ones seemed too dark, and looked dirty once they were up.  So, I painted the Stratford ceiling tiles a Crème Brulee cream color (one coat).  These went in the bulk of the basement... den, office, library, hallway, storage room, and bathroom. The trim in these rooms was also painted that color, and they look great together.  Rather than use the edge pieces of the grid, the top trim pieces actually hold the tiles up along the edges.

The Orb pattern is in our boys' bedroom.  I painted those the same light blue that is on the upper third of their walls (2 coats).  They look great!

As far as installation.  It was even easier than I expected to cut the holes out for vents and lights.  The material is very easy to work with.  The only issue I had was with the Orb pattern.  The problem may have been caused by us making the grid pieces fit a little too tightly in places.  If a tile was pushed up in a corner out of the grid, I could get a grip on the Stratford tile to pull it back down into place, but the Orb pattern had nothing to grip, so I had to pop the tile beside it out and push it back down, then hope that the one I popped out fell back into place easily.  This was not a huge problem, but it did happen often. Again, this may have been due to the grid system we chose not locking into place, allowing the tiles to get pinched tighter than they needed to be.

So, overall, we were very pleased with the Ceilume tiles.  They were easy to work with, took paint very well, and were easy to put up. They look really great, and we're looking forward to their easy care for many years.

I have been thrilled with the tiles.  I can't say enough good things about them.  As you can see from the pictures they have been installed in a 3 season room off the back of the house. Living in Wisconsin that room does take a beating from the weather. The problem I had with the old tiles was humidity, sagging tiles and no way to clean them.  

The ease of installation was unbelievable compared to standard tiles. They are light, easy to handle and just snap in place.  Believe me if grandma can do it anyone can.  Actually I am very proud of the ceiling I finished myself.  

This job went so good that I am considering redoing the basement laundry - work room.  Again I have standard ceiling tiles that are getting a little shabby.  So I am sure that my next home remodeling project will be that ceiling.

Yes, that is a glitter treatment on the walls. It sparkles like stars as you move around the room. And strangely, the dimmer the room the more they sparkle. Thanks for the help in getting this project looking good!

This restaurant is a very young, contemporary and hip type place. We had a very limited budget and the place has actually changed some since these photos were taken.

My husband and I just had to write you to tell you how impressed we are with your ceiling tiles. They are so easy to install and look beautiful too.  I am attaching a couple pictures of our kitchen.  A picture is certainly worth a thousand words.  Thank you for all your help in helping us decide which tile to use.  We definitely would recommend your company and its products!!

Aunt Emma's is a down home cooked meal, old fashioned Midwest type place. They have blackboards with the menu on them.

The new ceiling is up and I continue to get compliments.  It was a lot of work but well worth it.  I used rope lighting behind the translucent tiles.  I did have to use some creative carpentry at the peak of the ceiling.

My ceiling turned out beautifully!  I completely renovated an old building in a very small town in southwestern Michigan.  When we finished the project, many people in town were very interested in seeing what we had done.  For the first few weeks we spent about as much time giving tours of the facility as we did working.  Fortunately, the building turned out well and everyone seemed to be really impressed with the place.  The top item on the list of things that people mentioned that they loved was my ceiling.  "Where did you find that?"   
   
As a matter of fact, a local historian came in and took pictures of the place.  She brought me copies of them.  Out of the twenty or so pictures she took of the building, three of them were of the ceiling!
   
We definitely hit a home run with this one!

Your tiles and our project were a great combination.  We put these tiles in an old historic building in a small southern town coffee shop.  We wanted to bring an old feel to a trendy new place and it worked very well.
