The ceiling looks great.  It was hard for me to wait for my husband to get home.  Installation was so easy, I could do it without him.  On a scale of 1-5 (1 worst and 5 best) I would rate my tiles a 5.  I would recommend this to any DIY person who has a drop ceiling in their future.

We recently remodeled the offices of our Lead and Worship Pastors. WestGate is a fairly large church and the demands on our pastors are pretty high. Our goal was to create office spaces which could be presentable, but not too ostentatious for meetings and also be a comfortable working environment. The building was built over 40 years ago and previous ceiling was extremely old acoustical tile.

Our installation went very well. My facility crew found the tiles easy to work with  The product performed as I expected and I have two very happy pastors!  Here's a few photos from my phone.

Its been a while since I installed my Ceilume ceiling tiles in my home theater room.  I've been meaning to respond to your order follow up message for some time now - my apologies for the delay.

I used two different tiles: Dart in the center and Stratford as a border tile - both in black.  Installation was simple, the border tiles cut easily with a set of kitchen scissors.  As I was about half way done with the installation, I noticed a large improvement in room acoustics.  The Dart tiles work very well as acoustic diffusers by helping to eliminate harsh sound reflections in the room.  When the ceiling was completed, there was a large improvement in musical clarity due to reduced sound reflection from the ceiling.

The Dart tiles are great - they even have an unexpected benefit for my home theater room.  When you orient the "darts" in the pattern so they run parallel to the 
front wall where the movie projector shines, they work very well to reduce the light reflected from the screen to the ceiling and back to the viewer.

When I began installing them directly in front of the projection screen, I oriented a few 
so the darts were parallel to the screen wall and a few so the darts were perpendicular to the screen wall. It only took 2 seconds with the projector on to determine which way things needed to be...

There is one drawback to these tiles with my particular configuration, though, and this may not be an issue for other people. Because the tiles are so lightweight, my subwoofer (which is not quite a "run of the mill" subwoofer) causes them to bounce around and rattle in the ceiling grid that holds them up. I tried a few remedies and the best solution that I found was to purchase several sheets of standard drywall and cut it into squares. The back of the Dart tiles has a raised lip that is perfect for accepting one square of drywall as added mass. If you cut the drywall into 23.5" by 23.5" pieces, they just fit into the lip and since the weight rests on the ceiling grid, it doesn't place any stress on the tile itself. This layer of drywall also helps to further isolate the noise upstairs from the theater room in the basement. So there you have it, a great looking, rattle free, sound diffusing, and light reflection preventing solution!

Installation went great, very easy to cut with heavy scissors for the edge pieces. The hardest part was putting up the grid work, but once that was done it flew along. We used black pot lights, and found round ceiling heat vents that we painted black to match up with the rest of the electrical components, so it all just disappears. The room seems a lot warmer, and the sound from the TV is much better than before, thanks to the tiles I think. I hope the attached photos come through ok. Great product! Many friends have seen it and love it!

We chose your Stratford tiles for most of the job, except where HVAC ductwork prevented a drop ceiling. My wife, who was originally completely against the suspended ceiling "acoustical tile", found your site and we ordered them. Using sheetrock to build a soffit in to a true 2 foot span (so we didn't have to cut any of your tiles), we created what we think is a beautiful, original, and functional basement ceiling.  I have attached images of our game room (where some nice detail work is), as well as a few of the Black tiles in our theater.

We finally finished the theater project over the weekend.  I'm sending a before and after shot.  The detail on the ceiling is a little hard to see because of the black tiles.  

The installation went extremely well and working with your product was easy and fast, the light weight nature of your product makes trimming and handling very efficient.  I was pleased with the entire process from ordering online to receiving the tiles.

I have finished my build and the results turned out quite nicely. The tiles have met our expectations and they offer significant aesthetic improvement vs a traditional "classroom" tile. The pictures of the black Stratford tiles in the theater are installed flush to the ceiling joists with black Ceilinglink grids. The white Stratford tiles in the playroom are installed in regular metal "drop" grids.

Here's some photos of our completed theater room. Everyone who has seen it comments on the ceiling tiles. Nobody has ever seen anything like them and they all love the look. It really finishes it off nicely. We used the dart tiles in the center and the southland tiles around the outside edges. We also used the acoustotherm backpanels which really help with the sound suppression.

The product looks great, and the installation was a snap!  It went much easier than working with traditional ceiling tiles.

I used your ceiling in my rec room last year it turned out great. I reordered for my kitchen, also in the basement. Both rooms are next to each other. I put a wood boarder completely around outside perimeter and hung my angle  channel to it. I left three inches exposed and painted black. I used 2x2 black tile around outside and finished with geometric tile  in white inside. It turned out great. Best ceiling tile to work with ever. Thanks.

What a transformation!!! The product was very very easy to use and very easy to cut and install. I just traced out the old tiles onto the new and took my scissors and cut to fit. The whole kitchen took me about 2 hours. I had looked into doing a tin ceiling but the cost was about 4 times as much as these tiles. That's not really cost effective for a single home owner. My realtor is a good friend of mine and thinks changing out the tiles was a great idea and a beautiful option. All my neighbors have drop ceilings as well and I'm sure will be ordering some for their houses. I have an office that I'm remodeling and need to keep the drop ceiling so I'll be placing another order shortly. Thanks again for helping me with the kitchen and giving me an option other than having the expense of dry walling my ceiling for $4000. Thanks again!

I have not had a single person walk into my HT that has not asked about the tiles :-) I think it came out great, it just took a bit of patience to figure out how to use them out on the border to make the room work for me. Yes, that is a glitter treatment on the walls. It sparkles like stars as you move around the room. And strangely, the dimmer the room the more they sparkle. Thanks for the help in getting this project looking good!

This restaurant is a very young, contemporary and hip type place. We had a very limited budget and the place has actually changed some since these photos were taken.

Attached are some photos of our home electronics showroom / digital home design center in Bentonville, Arkansas. The black Ceilume tiles worked very well for our purpose. We'd be glad to be listed as an installation and would welcome visitors.

Thank you for your interest. These ceiling tiles that we got from you are great everyone loves them. We installed them in a little restaurant in Tallahassee, FL. Along with your tiles we used a product from Gridmax (you can find it at Lowe's). I forget what the name of it is, but it's put over the ceiling grid because these Gridmax "grid covers" come in cool patterns. In our case cross-hatched silver. Anyway I attached a photo, but it's at night and not too good of the lighting. When I get some better ones i will send them your way.

The grid is inlaid with ivy pattern, and framed with an ivy trim molding stained merlot.  The crown moldings are gold embossed petals on ebony stain to tie the lighting elements and your panels and the custom merlot stained aspen cabinetry together.  The corner blocks are 5-point stars in ebony stain. For scale: the screen is 77" x 101" (4:3,127" diagonal) room dimensions are 13x22, with an elevated back row for 10'.

The install went very well. Everyone that sees it says it's the nicest ceiling they have ever seen. I like it so much that I was even thinking of a distributer/installer deal with you. Thanks!

We used the black Stratford tiles throughout the store and the translucent Stratford tiles over the lights.  We are really pleased with the way the ceiling turned out.  It looks very classy and matches well with the decor of the store.

People think it is a metal ceiling. They are surprised when I tell them it is a drop ceiling!
